docXchange is a two-step programme comprised of fostering professional development and offering potential financing opportunities for your interactive documentary project. The first part of the programme takes place in May 2011 with a three-day seminar/workshop at Hot Docs in Toronto, Canada. The second part takes place in September 2011 with a one-day financing forum at Nordisk Panorama in Aarhus, Denmark. The language of the programme is English.
docXchange is open to applications from North American and European producers working on interactive documentary projects. A maximum of 24 projects will be selected for the seminar/workshop at Hot Docs. From the seminar/workshop participants, a maximum of 10 projects will be selected for the financing forum at Nordisk Panorama.

A three-day seminar/workshop for 24 European and North American producers with interactive documentary projects in development.
Three full days where you will connect with decision-makers, experts and other professionals from Europe and North America working in the digital media field to grow your knowledge capital of the interactive documentary specifically market intelligence, co-production models and innovative technology elements in a collegiate atmosphere from first-rate digital media experts.
Participation fee: DKK 5625 incl. VAT 25% (approx. EURO 750)

STEP 2: docXchange financing forum
Nordisk Panorama, Aarhus, Denmark 28 September 2011
Financing forum for 10 interactive documentary projects selected among the 24 presented at the seminar/workshop.
10 projects will be selected to publicly pitch at the docXchange financing forum in front of an international panel of financiers of documentary cross-media productions. After the pitch individual meetings will be arranged between pitch teams and financiers.
Participation fee: DKK 3750 incl. VAT 25% (approx. EURO 500)
You will get:
Participants cover travel expenses to both Hot Docs and Nordisk Panorama by themselves.
Application requirements:
Applications must be in English.
The selection will be done by an international committee of digital media and documentary experts. We are aware this is an exciting, shifting and evolving field and we are as responsive as the emerging digital media field itself.
The selection for the docXchange seminar/workshop will be announced no later than 28 March 2011.
