We are thrilled to announce the films selected to compete in this year's Nordisk Panorama and the projects selected for Nordisk Forum and wish to congratulate all, who made the cut!
The films for the competition programme have been selected according to a new procedure resulting in a true Nordisk Panorama of short and documentary films. In each of the five Nordic countries a selection committee consisting of film critics, directors, and other experts has nominated nine films representing their country in the three sections: Nordic Documentary, Nordic Short Film and New Nordic Voices.
Presenting a total of 15 titles in each category Nordisk Panorama celebrates the very best of Nordic films premiered during the last 12 months:
The 15 titles competing for the Nordisk Panorama Documentary Award
The 15 titles competing for the Nordisk Panorama Short Film Award
The 15 titles competing for the New Nordic Voices Award
- We are excited about the new model for the competition programme constituting a true Nordic championship, says Katrine Kiilgaard, Nordisk Panorama Director. I want to take the opportunity to thank our selection committees for the huge responsibility and effort they have taken on. Also I'm looking forward to welcoming the international juries who are to find the winner.

No less than 87 new documentary projects were submitted to the 20th edition of Nordisk Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries by some of the very best producers and directors the Nordic region has to offer.
A total of 24 projects have been selected to pitch, and among them the 5 Nordic Wildcards are again this year brought to our attention by the documentary consultants at the Nordic film institutes, projects we are very much looking forward to presenting. Furthermore 21 projects have been selected in the observer+ category, which gives producers with a selected project special access to meetings with decision-makers.
- We are really happy to see a broad variety of themes and a steady number of projects submitted to Nordisk Forum from both newcomers and familiar faces, all representing a high professional level. This confirms Nordisk Forum as the main annual funding event and meeting place for the Nordic documentary community. We're looking forward to celebrating the 20th anniversary of Nordisk Forum by presenting a strong selection in both the pitch and observer+ categories to the many Nordic and international decision-makers who will be joining us in Malmö, says Katrine Kiilgaard, Nordisk Panorama Director.
