SATURDAY 22 September

15:00-16:30: Is the Future Only Online?
We will kick off the Outlook sessions with the introduction of three VOD companies and a discussion about the potential for Nordic filmmakers to work with online sales of documentaries.

Sean Farnel will introduce SnagFilms, the VOD site offering thousands of independent movies and documentaries for free through thematically curated strands. Jamie King will introduce VODO, which is distributing creative works and enabling those enjoying shared media to make donations to creators. Finally Lorraine Hess will introduce Link TV, the broadcaster combining traditional cable and satellite with online broadcasting.

Following the three introductions Farnel, King and Hess will discuss the potential and possibilities documentaries and short films have through online distribution.

Speakers: Sean Farnel, Acquisitions Consultant (SnagFilms/USA), Jamie King, Founder (VODO/UK) & Lorraine Hess, Commissioning Editor (Link TV/USA)

17:00-18:00: Branded Money and Public Funding
Film funds based on private investments are becoming more apparent in the documentary sector. Big brands are giving money to documentaries in order to show their social responsibility. But does money come with a price? And how can you combine the traditional public funding with money from private branded funds?

Speakers: Maxyne Franklin, Director (BRITDOC Foundation/UK), Tore Tomter, Commissioning Editor (NRK/Norway), Cecilia Lidin, Film Consultant (SFI/Sweden) & Fredrik Gertten, Director & Producer (WG Film/Sweden)

SUNDAY 23 September

The German production company Gebrüder Beetz has launched a number of international transmedia documentaries. We have asked producer Georg Tschurtschenthaler to share his experience and knowledge when it comes to making documentaries with a transmedia approach. Speaker: Georg Tschurtschenthaler, Producer (Gebrüder Beetz/Germany)

18:30-19:30: Meet the Decision-Makers of Nordisk Forum
Every year Nordisk Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries is attended by some 30-40 Nordic and international decision-makers. In this session you will get a quick introduction to the commissioning editors from TV, film institutes and regional film funds, as well as to international sales agents and other experts attending this year's forum. Don't miss this chance to learn who is who and what they can do for you!

More than 700 million people have downloaded the Angry Birds games, more than 25 million plush toys have been sold and now the Finnish company Rovio is launching a series of short films about the Angry Birds.

Søren Fleng, producer of the animated series, will take us along on the great adventure that is Angry Birds. He will tell us about the creation of the new short fiction series, the co-operation between story telling and game creation and the experiences gained along the way.

The Angry Birds universe is expanding to more and more platforms and this is key in everything Rovio does. As they say: "You can't put all your Angry Birds and their eggs in one basket, otherwise the pigs will steal them!"
