We are thrilled to announce the films selected to compete in this year's Nordisk Panorama and the projects selected for Nordisk Panorama Forum and wish to congratulate all, who made the cut!
Nordisk Panorama celebrates the very best of Nordic shorts & docs in a true Nordic championship. Out of 565 submissions, a total of 42 films will be competing for the Nordisk Panorama Awards in 3 competition programmes:
Films competing for the Nordic Documentary Award
Films competing for the Nordic Short Film Award
Films competing for the New Nordic Voices Award
Besides the main awards we are also proud to present the Audience Award of SEK 25,000 sponsored by Malmö Stad.
The Juries
The juries who are to select the winning films in the three competitions are comprised of international and Nordic film professionals.
The Documentary Jury is:
Charlotte Cook, Hot Docs (Canada)
Claudia Rodríguez Valencia, RTVC (Colombia)
Joshua Oppenheimer, Winner 2013 (Denmark)
The Short Film Jury is:
Iris Brey, Semaine de la Critique (France)
Samir Karahoda, DokuFest (Kosovo)
Jenifer Malmqvist, Winner 2013 (Sweden)
The New Nordic Voices Jury is:
Ulla Simonen, DocPoint (Finland)
Kjetil Lismoen, Rushprint (Norway)
Ása Hjörleifsdóttir, New Nordic Voice 2013 (Iceland)
No less than 100 new documentary projects were submitted to the 21st edition of Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries by some of the very best producers and directors the Nordic region has to offer.
A total of 24 projects for pitch have been selected. Among them the 5 Nordic Wildcards are brought to our attention by the documentary consultants at the Nordic film institutes. 22 observer+ projects have been selected for special access to meetings with decision-makers.
